Closed to the public since last April, part of the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC reopened its doors on Friday, October 14.
The last phase of renovation will end in 2025. Please note! It is now necessary to reserve a day and a time slot for the visits called « timed-entry pass ». Very easy to do and directly on this website.
Note that another air and space museum (Hudvar-Hazy Center) located 15 minutes from Washington Dulles airport presents thousands of objects related to aviation and space, including the space shuttle Discovery, a Blackbird SR-71 and a Concorde, in two large hangars. It too is free and without a reservation system.
