Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in Washington State had a record-breaking summer with 15,3 million passengers traveling through the airport from June to August 2023. This included the busiest day ever in the history of SEA, on July 24, when 73,651 outbound travelers passed through security screening and a total of more than 198,000 travelers passed through the airport (and yes it was the day after Taylor Swift was in town!).
Five days later, on July 29, the airport set a record for the busiest day of international travel ever at SEA with 8,512 passengers going through customs at the International Arrivals Facility. Year-end numbers are expected to be close to 51.8 million passengers, 2019’s record.
“Seattle is on the map for guests from around the world,” said Lance Lyttle, manager director, SEA Airport. “With travel back to record levels, and the World Cup coming our way in 2026, completing $4.6 billion in SEA upgrade projects is critical for the passenger experience. The SEA Airport team went above and beyond to make the guest experience five-star this summer.”
Air France, Delta Air Lines and Air Tahiti Nui, fly non-stop routes between Paris (CDG) and SEA with averaging 8 flights per week.
