The MAX Museum in Meridian showcases Mississippi‘s art and music highlights and honors entertainment legends through diverse exhibits, performances, classes, and events.
Recently opened, the temporary America at the Crossroads exhibition pays tribute to the importance of the guitar, an essential instrument of American cultural and musical heritage. Presented by the National GUITAR Museum, it invites visitors to discover around forty musical instruments that all represent key moments in American history, as well as multimedia exhibitions celebrating the role of guitar in the development of music in Mississippi and across America.
Oxford, located in the north of the state and known for William Faulkner’s home Rowan Oak, offers a new lodging option called The Oliver Hotel.
