How about we really adopted the slow tourism concept? Is taking time to fully discover a destination the real luxury? And for that, there is no better way than experiencing Arizona railroads.
- Grand Canyon Railway
The train departs from Williams every morning at 9:30am and arrives at Grand Canyon Village shortly before noon. Those who wish to take the round trip within the same day will have 3 hours at leisure. It is also possible to stay overnight at one of the park’s lodges or experience the historic steam train from mid-February to early October.
- Verde Canyon Railroad
Becoming a scenic excursion train in 1990, the ride begins in Clarkdale and ventures 20 miles to Perkinsville, year-round. The 4-hour round-trip through 110 years of history follows the curves of the Verde river through a red rock canyon.
- Southwest Chief et Sunset Limited
For those who love long train journeys, 2 Amtrak routes also go through Arizona. The Southwest Chief route travels between Chicago and Los Angeles whereas the Sunset Limited route travels between New Orleans and Los Angeles.
