Further north, between Shreveport and Monroe stands Lake Claiborne State Park where visitors will want to dive in the crystalline waters and enjoy some of Louisiana’s finest freshwater fishing. Nights at this park are downright enchanting with star-filled sky views and stay at one of the park’s two-bedroom cabins nestled among the trees near the water’s edge.
Glamping lovers will want to choose South Toledo Bend State Park, located at the Louisiana’s western border, to enjoy a night under a tent and dinner around a campfire, surrounded by nature.
