In 2023, a reservation to enter the park is required for four areas: the Going-to-the-Sun Road, North Fork, Two Medicine and Many Glacier.
Each location has unique details and requires a separate reservation.
This pilot program is designed to reduce congestion, improve the visitor experience, and protect park resources.
When the vehicle reservation system is in effect, a vehicle reservation is required to access the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor and the North Fork, Many Glacier and Two Medicine vehicle reservation areas.
What parts of the Going-to-the-Sun corridor require a reservation?
The area includes all points between the West Entrance Station, Camas Entrance Station and the Rising Sun checkpoint (located 6 miles west of the St. Mary’s entrance). The map above illustrates the reservation areas.
How do I get a reservation for the Going-to-the-Sun corridor?
Reservations are valid for three consecutive days and are subject to a $2 processing fee. Vehicle reservations are available in advance online at Recreation.gov, the Recreation.gov app. They cannot be purchased at the park.
Vehicle reservations for the Going-to-the-Sun corridor are limited for each day. Vehicle reservations will be posted on Recreation.gov beginning February 1, 2023 at 8 a.m. Mountain Time.
