Antelope Canyon is like no other spot on earth. However, to capture its beauty, it is important to follow a couple of rules.
Antelope Canyon is divided into 2 points: Upper Antelope Canyon (most popular entrance) and Lower Antelope Canyon (several flights of stairs and ladders).
The trip into the canyon can take up to 2 hours (Arrive 15 minutes early). Most tours begin in Page or at the park’s entrance off Highway 98.
Antelope Canyon is open year-round; however, most people will try to visit mid-day during weekends from March through October, when the light shafts appear (between 10am and 1pm). Find better rates and fewer people during the off-season from November through late February.
Antelope Canyon may close during days of heavy rain or snow.
Visitors need a prior reservation with an authorized Navajo guide to visit Antelope Canyon
Wear good walking shoes, layered clothing, apply sunscreen, bring a water bottle, sunglasses, a hat and a handkerchief for protection from the sand. If you wear contact lenses, consider opting for eyeglasses instead.
Bags, purses, fanny packs, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks and food are prohibited. Cover your camera with a plastic bag for protection from the sand.
There are no trash cans and no bathrooms.
